Mindful Manners

Get rid of those nuisance behaviors like leash pulling, jumping, and barking! 

 

Learn how to keep your dog polite and focused on you. This course helps you develop important foundation behaviors like sit, down, settle on a mat, wait, let's go, loose leash walking, and attention-grabbing!  

 

Work on improving communication skills between you and your dog so you two can work as a team! Improve your dog's attention and focus to get the well-rounded dog you can take anywhere with you!

 

Participants are elligible to receive American Kennel Club S.T.A.R. Puppy Award. Additional requirements are necessary. Contact us for more details.

Classes at 5:30 PM Sundays at Brookhaven Animal Hospital (205 Town Blvd, Brookhaven GA 30319)

Class is 5 weeks long and costs $200.

Hounds Around Town

Take It Out In The Real World! Do you and your dog have a good foundation? However, you need help getting the same behaviors out in the real world? 

This class will help you take your skills to the next level by working in real-world settings. Small groups can learn how to motivate their dogs in public and work with real distractions to help you get the dog you can take out in public.

 

The locations will vary and include public parks, walking paths, neighborhood shopping centers, etc A schedule and packing list will be provided upon registration.

 

Participants need to have attended Mindful Manners, completed a package of in-home lessons, or another basic obedience course.

The class starts at 4:00 PM, includes five 45-minute classes and costs $160.

Advancing Manners -CGC

Advanced Obedience: Do you and your dog have a good foundation? You can get a sit, down, stay, loose leash walking in most conditions but you still have trouble with distractions or duration of behavior?

 

This class will help you take your skills to the next level. You will also build your skills in a systematic manner to be able to take the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test. You will increase your bond with your dog while improving manners and proofing behaviors.

 

Prerequisites: Participants need to have attended Mindful Manners or another approved basic obedience course.

 

Participants will test for the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Award. Contact us for more details.

The class will be held at 6:45PM on Sunday evenings at Brookhaven Animal Hospital (205 Town Blvd). The class is 5 weeks long, with the final class being the CGC test, and costs $200.
